Campaign to Resist Government Overreach

We are acting to resist the Trump administration’s various encroachments on academic freedom, partnering with other organizations on campus, supporting legal action, and urging President Paxson to protect academic freedom.

In April 2025, we signed an amicus brief in support of AAUP vs. Rubio. You can read more about the landmark ruling here.

Campaign for Faculty Governance and Financial Transparency

Brown faces two deficits: one of accounting and the other of accountability. In a steeply hierarchical institution like Brown, where the Corporation delegates authority to the president and the provost, we’re calling for financial transparency and working toward a new model of faculty governance.
